Why it is a pillar

Education, healthcare, shelter and economic empowerment improve people’s circumstances. Lasting change also needs strong values, moral leadership, healthy relationships and a clear sense of purpose. The Foundation’s Christian faith shapes how it serves — its stewardship, compassion, integrity and respect for human dignity — in every programme, not only this one.

Many communities face more than material need: isolation, hopelessness, family breakdown, substance abuse and violence. The Foundation meets them alongside churches, faith-based organisations, community leaders and volunteers, through discipleship, outreach, pastoral care and values-based leadership.

Mt Elgon, 2025

A mission among children and young people across four areas of Mt Elgon — Kopsiro, Cheptais, Kapsokwony and Kaptama. 3,588 were reached and 2,065 gave their lives to Christ. On the final day 1,393 came, against a target of 800.

100 Sunday school teachers were trained across the four areas, so that the discipleship continues after the mission has left.

The marketplace mission and street praise

Organised with CITAM Woodley and Valley Road, Global Harvest Church, Well Church, Street Praise Teams from Kenya and Uganda, and marketplace leaders. Over 500 people were reached and 40 gave their lives to Christ, each referred on for discipleship so that their growth continues in a local church.

Beyond the missions

Food for families hit by the Mai Mahiu floods; support to mission organisations including MBCI, CITAM, KCDF and BTL; and a part in an international mission in India.

Four programmes, 2025 to 2029

Church and Faith in Action. Working with churches and faith-based organisations, who are trusted where they are, on evangelism, community outreach and support for the people the Foundation serves.

Discipleship and Spiritual Growth. Bible study and discipleship classes, prayer and worship gatherings, Christian leadership development, and devotional and teaching materials.

Community Outreach and Compassion. Outreach that answers needs a community has named, practical help for households in hard times, and volunteers recruited and trained to serve.

Values-Based Leadership and Family Strengthening. Values and life skills for young people, parenting and family life education, leadership grounded in integrity and servant leadership, and community dialogue for peace and reconciliation.
